A. Lamp Concrete Contractors has installed the StormTrap underground detention system and backfilled the excavation.  Due to winter weather conditions no work is taking place currently. 

Work remaining to be completed in Spring 2016
  • Minor storm sewer work
  • Landscaping restoration

Work completed Last Week:

·         Completed replacement of sanitary sewer main at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave..

·         Completed water main relocation at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave.

·         Began storm sewer work on Magnolia St.

·         Began excavation of Stormtrap underground detention system.

 

 

 

Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Complete excavation of Stormtrap underground detention system.

·         Frame and pour Stormtrap concrete foundation late this week or early next week.

·         Excavate and pour concrete sidewalk, driveway and curb & gutter.

·         Began replacing sanitary sewer main under the proposed underground detention system at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave..

·         Began installation of water main by means of directional drilling at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave.

 

Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Complete replacement of sanitary sewer main at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave..

·         Complete water main relocation at Magnolia St. and Lilac Ave.

·         Begin excavation and prep for sidewalk on Magnolia St.

·         Begin storm sewer work on Magnolia St.

Mobilize traffic control, materials, equipment and personnel along with miscellaneous preparation work prior to starting construction.

 

Work Anticipated This Week:

Curb & gutter and sidewalk removal on Magnolia St.

Sanitary sewer removal and replacement located in the empty lot between 1556 and 1610 Magnolia St.

Excavation of pits and directional drilling water main to be relocated in the empty lot between 1556 and 1610 Magnolia St.

Welcome to the 2015 Flood Relief Construction Blog!  Each week updates will be given regarding the construction progress from the following week, anticipated work to occur the upcoming week, and other information. Additional information will also be provided on a periodic basis via mailed or hand-delivered letters. These construction updates will typically provide more time-sensitive information.  Please be on the lookout for these updates in the mail or in your front door.
The project consists of construction of an underground detention system, storm sewer construction, storm structure installation and replacement, water main relocation, utility trench paving, curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk construction, and restoration.

The general contractor for the project is A. Lamp Concrete Contrators, Inc. The Village of Glenview’s Project Manager is Chris Gray and the Village’s on-site construction representative is Joe Molidor.

Work Completed Last Week:

An onsite meeting with Village staff and contractor was conducted last week to determine work schedule, construction operations, and set expectations for project.

Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Mobilize equipment and personnel along with miscellaneous preparation work prior to starting construction.

·         Begin tree removal and fence removal.
